There is so much to love about the Dragon Ball series. It all started with a martial arts master named Toriyama Akira. In the early seventies, Akira had approached by Shueisha to create manga for young boys. However, he declined the offer. This had because he felt that the stories offered were not for him. However, the editor persisted. A year later, Akira accepted. What started as a one-shot comic soon turned into a weekly manga serial called ‘Dragons’. It was titled ‘Dragons’ because it featured dragons as its main characters. It was not until 1975 that Akira revealed the true name of his creation. The manga had now been published under the name ‘Dragon Ball’. There had many manga serialized at the time but Akira’s was the most popular. It was also the first manga to explore the concept of a ‘Trinity’ – a group of heroes who were all linked by a common goal. The story of Dragon Ball follows the adventures of Son Goku and his friends. They are all martial artists who train under the tutelage of the Grand Master. They have frequently visited by the Dragon God, Shenton, who grants them their super powers. There were many heroes in the manga. However, Goku was by far the most popular.  

The Original Dragon Ball

The first Dragon Ball had published in 1984. It features the Pilaf Gang and the Black Goku Affair. The series encompasses the first 18 volumes. Akira Toriyama really unleashed his imagination in the first series dragon ball z. There were many fantastical creatures but none more so than the Dragons. Goku and his friends would encounter many types of dragons in their adventures.

Dragon Ball Z

Dragon Ball Z, the sequel to the original series, was published from 1986 to 1995. It featured a huge cast of characters. There were many battles and many transformations. Dragon Ball Z is often referred to as the “Frieza Saga” because the villain named Frieza was at the heart of most of the major events in the story. Many of the characters who debuted in the first series had their origins explored in this manga. The series also featured the first appearance of popular characters like Gohan, Vegeta, Pan and many others. The story of Dragon Ball Z is quite vast. It covers every kind of genre you can think of. The story is fun, intense and action-packed.

Dragon Ball GT

Dragon Ball GT was published from March 1997 to December 1999. Unlike the other two Dragon Ball series, it was written by a different author. Dr. Katsuhito Ikuhara wrote the series. Ikuhara was a relative unknown until he was approached to work on the series. However, he did not want to just adapt the stories of the original Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT. He wanted to do something new with them. The result was ‘Dr. Slump’, a comedic take on the characters. Unfortunately, some readers did not appreciate Dr. Slump and thought it was a poor substitute for the original manga.

Dragon Ball Super

Dragon Ball Super was published from 2015 to 2018. The series is set in the same universe as the original Dragon Ball series. It follows the adventures of Goku’s son, Gohan, and his friends as they train to become Super Saiyans. The series also follows the revival of Freeza and the fight against the powerful and mysterious new enemy, the “Universe 6”. The series features some of the most iconic and popular characters in the Dragon Ball universe. They are Goku, Gohan and their friends, Vegeta, Goku’s enemies, and many more.

Dragon Ball Heroes

Dragon Ball Heroes is a Japanese action role-playing game developed by Infinite. The game was published by Bandai Namco Entertainment and was released in Japan and Asia in 2015, Europe in 2016 and North America in 2017. The game features characters from the “Dragon Ball Z Blanket “series in a card battling game format.

Which is Better Dragon Ball Z or Super

Both series are amazing and there are many who will disagree with this article. However, we hope that after reading the definitions and descriptions of both series, you will at least understand why one is better than the other. Dragon Ball Z is the original series that started it all. The story follows the adventures of Goku and his friends as they try to defeat powerful enemies and save the world from destruction. Dragon Ball Super, on the other, follows the revival of some of the same characters from the Z series as they train to defeat the powerful new enemy, Universe 6. While Dragon Ball Super is an excellent series, we believe that the best series of all is Dragon Ball Z. It stands the test of time and is still going strong after all these years.

New Villains in Dragon Ball Super

There have been many new villains in Dragon Ball Super. However, there are two that stick out among the rest. First is the return of Frieza. The emperor had last seen in the series Dragon Ball Z. Frieza is the strongest villain in the Dragon Ball universe and his return in Super is an amazing development. The second new character we want to talk about is Jiren. Jiren is a member of the “justice” faction in the universe that the heroes will face off against. He is a powerful fighter who commands an army of gravity-controlling robots. He is a very interesting villain and we can’t wait to see how he is defeated.

Future of Dragon Ball

Dragon Ball always has and always will be a family show. It has never been about gritty war or political intrigue. It is about fun, adventure and the triumph of good over evil. Nowhere is this more evident than in the new theme song for the series.

Anticipated Anime of All time Dragonball

There are so many to choose from but we are going to go with One Piece. One thing that has always separated Dragon Ball from other fantasy series is its humor. It takes elements from many different series and blends them together to form a unique and hilarious manga. If you are looking for a more serious take on fantasy, you should try out Dark Souls or The Legend of Zelda. Both are excellent games and will give you a real challenge.
