It is now possible for Polish citizens to apply for a CANADA VISA FOR POLISH CITIZENS (electronic travel authorization) online, eliminating the need to apply in person for a document to enter the country from an embassy or consulate.
The eTA for Polish citizens was introduced by the Canadian government in 2016 in order to facilitate the process of obtaining travel authorization for the country. Those traveling to Canada for up to 180 days are able to submit a simple online application to receive an approved eTA electronically linked to their passport.
An approved eTA (electronic travel authorization) is valid for 5 years and allows multiple entries to Canada during its validity. The application process only takes minutes to complete.
DO POLISH CITIZENS NEED A VISA FOR CANADA?
All Polish citizens who are planning to travel to Canada must obtain a visa waiver or visa prior to their arrival into the country. However, it is now easier than ever to obtain a visa waiver for Polish citizens through the online eTA Canada application.
Those planning to spend up to 6 consecutive months do not need to apply for travel authorization from an embassy, as the electronic visa waiver application can be completed entirely online. The process is fast and easy and can be done from the comfort of the applicant’s own home. Find below a list of the necessary requirements to apply.
CANADIAN ETA REQUIREMENTS FOR POLISH CITIZENS
There are a handful of Canada visa requirements for Polish travelers. This includes but is not limited to the following items:
- A valid Polish passport – All Polish citizens must have a valid passport in order to get a Canadian eTA visa waiver. It is necessary to have at least 6 months of validity in the passport.
- Personal information – While filling out the application, all travelers will need to provide information that pertains to their passport, personal information (address, contact information), employment, and travel details/itinerary
- Phone, tablet, or computer – In order to fill out the application, travelers will need a device with internet access, such as a phone, tablet, or computer
- A valid form of payment – Travelers will need a valid form of payment, such as a debit or credit card, to pay the eTA application fees
It is necessary for applicants with dual citizenship to use the same passport to complete the eTA application that they will later use to travel to CANADA MEDICAL VISA. This is because the approved eTA is electronically linked to the same passport used to complete the form.
HOW TO GET A CANADIAN VISA OR ETA FROM POLAND?
Obtaining a tourist visa to Canada from Poland is simple, easy, and takes only a few minutes.
Travelers can obtain their eTA to Canada from Poland by completing an online application with personal data (full name, date of birth), contact details (address, email), employment history, and travel itinerary for the stay in Canada.
After the application is completed, travelers will need to pay the eTA fee and submit the form. In most cases, travelers may receive a decision in minutes, although some requests can take several days to process due to demand or other factors.
It is advisable to apply for a Canadian eTA at least 72 hours (3 days) in advance so that there is enough time to process the application.
Polish passport holders applying for an eTA who need to urgently travel to Canada, within the next 24 hours, are advised to choose the new rush eTA processing option when paying the eTA fee. This urgent processing service guarantees that the applicant’s eTA will be processed in under 60 minutes and that they will also receive a response about the eTA status within this time.
Once an electronic authorization is granted, it is automatically linked electronically to the traveler’s passport. An approved Canadian eTA is valid for 5 years (or until the associated passport expires, whichever comes first).
Once the passport associated with the eTA expires, it is necessary to submit a new application in order to be able to continue to travel to Canada.

The Canadian Embassy in Poland is located at Ulica Jana Matejki 1/5 in Warsaw, down the street from the Polish Sejm (Polish Parliament). It is open from Monday to Friday and closed on the weekends. The current ambassador of Canada is Leslie Scanlon.
